Red Pepper Mando Pictures

The Red Pepper Mando was handcrafted in 2006 by John F. Wynn of Wynn Mandolins. Mr. Wynn has built over 200 "F-Style" mandolins since the mid 1970's. The Red Pepper Mando was created from two different woods, Douglas Fir and Ozark's Walnut. The top is Douglas Fir with the back, sides and neck Walnut. The neck and peghead have a special tie to the owner, this walnut was harvested from his family's home place. The beautiful burl back came from a farm in S.W. Missouri. The most unique feature of the Red Pepper Mando is of course the abalone inlay of a red pepper on the peghead. This mandolin has a deep rich tone and plays easily. My thanks to John F. Wynn for creating this wonderful instrument.
